THERE are long delays on the northbound carriageway of the M23 this morning (Tuesday), after an earlier accident. Traffic is queuing from Junction 9 (Gatwick) back to Junction 10a, with motorists being warned to expect 30-minute delays. The vehicles involved in the incident have been moved to the hard shoulder, with two lanes having initially been closed. It is believed the accident occurred before 7am with a six-mile tailback reported at one stage.
