Drivers heading to the M23 are being warned to expect delays this morning due to the amount of traffic on the motorway.Highways England is reporting queues forming on the northbound carriageway between Junction 8 and Junction 7 today (Thursday, December 10).A Highways England spokesman said: "There are currently delays of 10 minutes against free flowing traffic."The tailbacks are expected to continue throughout the rush hour.

THERE are long delays on the M23 this afternoon after a lorry crashed into the central reservation, spilling its contents on to the road. Two of the three lanes are closed northbound between junction ten for Crawley and nine for Gatwick after an accident between the lorry and a mini digger. There are tailbacks four miles long.
