Firefighters called after water pipe splits in block of flats
A WATER pipe split today (Friday) in a block of flats in Langley Green, which began to flood a property on the ground floor.
Firefighters were called to the flats at Dobson Road at 9.40am.
Water was coming from a pipe that had either split or had one of its joints fail, in a first-floor flat, and was flooding the property below.
Having arrived in one appliance from Crawley Fire Station, firefighters isolated the electricity supply and the water so the pipe could be repaired.

A TEENAGER living at a homeless hostel for young people has admitted stealing more than £200 of computer games from Asda.
David Ware, 18, took £202 of games from the supermarket on Pegler Way on April 11.
He pleaded guilty at Crawley Magistrates' Court on April 29 and was given a 12-month conditional discharge. Ware, from Southwell Lodge, on Balcombe Road, Pound Hill, must also pay £35 court costs.
