A DRUG dealer from Broadfield who had £38,000 in cash in a box under a Christmas tree and £104,000 worth of cocaine in a takeaway bag in the kitchen has been jailed.
Ashhaq Khan, 20, of Grace Road, Broadfield, was sentenced to two years and six months imprisonment after pleading guilty to three offences.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a schoolgirl managed to fight off two would-be robbers in Crawley.
The 16-year-old girl was walking to school through the alleyway connecting Lavant Close and Gossops Drive, in Gossops Green, at about 7.20am yesterday morning (Wednesday).
Once she reached the end of the alleyway she was pushed to the floor and two men demanded her phone.

On Tuesday the girl climbed a fence at Milton Mount Playgroup in Pound Hill and ran away from the group.

A MAN has lost his licence for 12 months after admitting driving a van while over the drink-drive limit.
Terry Payne, from Reedings, Ifield, was caught when driving a Ford Transit on Longmere Road, West Green on April 15.
He gave a reading of 49 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

A WOMAN has been fined for stealing a case of canned drinks with spirits mixed into them from a Co-op store.Bridgett Maloney, from Perth Close, Langley Green, took the case of drinks from the Co-op store in Horsham, on February 11.The 25-year-old pleaded guilty to theft when she appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on April 30.She was fined £67 and ordered to pay £24 compensation to Co-op.Maloney must also pay a victim surcharge of £20 and £85 in court costs.

TWO men are due to appear in court after police seized cocaine from a car during a traffic check on the A23.
Shortly before midnight on Wednesday (May 13) police stopped a Land Rover Discovery heading northbound on the A23 at Handcross Hill.
