WEST Green residents having to travel to Langley Green to get to the doctors' will have a direct bus service to get them there and back from the end of this month.

A CRANE being moved along the M23 this morning collided with a transit-sized van.
The motorway has been closed in both directions between Crawley and Pease Pottage after the vehicles collided on the northbound on-slip of the motorway at Junction 10A, the Maidenbower junction, just before 7.10am.
Both drivers are reported to be injured and both southbound and northbound carriageways have been closed to allow the air ambulance to land.

A VAN driver and his passenger have been taken to hospital after their vehicle collided with a slow moving crane vehicle on the M23 this morning.
The collision occurred on the northbound slip road at Junction 10A, Maidenbower just before 7.10am.

Asda shoplifter fined after stealing pork pies
A MAN has been fined £50 after stealing £23 worth of items from Asda, including pork pies and a milkshake.
Robert Conn, from St Joan Close, Langley Green, admitted a charge of theft when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on May 1.
On April 9 the 35-year-old stole the meat pies, a Galaxy drink and a Philips electric razor from the supermarket in Pegler Way.

Langley Green man pleads guilty to driving without due care and...
A MOTORIST has been convicted of driving without due care and attention on Christmas Eve through Copthorne.
Dilshad Ahmed was charged with committing the offence in Kitsmead on December 24.
The 49-year-old, from Heron Close, Langley Green, pleaded guilty at Crawley Magistrates' Court on April 22 and was fined £37.
He was also ordered to pay further costs of £105 and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points.

A POPULAR chain of takeaway chicken shops wants to open its first restaurant in Crawley.
Barjindar Majhail has submitted plans to Crawley Borough Council to open a Dallas Chicken and Pizza shop on Northgate Parade.
The application is to transform the former Hobgoblin Music shop on the neighbourhood parade.

LIGHTNING struck a house in Gossops Green yesterday (Tuesday) evening and set fire to a wall and curtain.
Firefighters were called to Rother Crescent at about 6.40pm after the lightning hit the roof and set fire to a wall.
