Burglars break into homes in Pound Hill
BURGLARS have struck at two homes in Pound Hill over the last week.
A burglar smashed a rear patio door to gain entry to a property on Grattons Drive.
They stole jewellery, although it is not clear exactly when the crime took place, although it is known it was at some point over the last week.
A burglar also smashed a patio door to gain entry to a home on Spring Plat last Thursday (February 19).
They then searched the property. It is unclear what, if anything, was stolen.

Police close investigation into rape of child in Crawley town...
AN INVESTIGATION into a rape in Crawley town centre has been closed by Sussex Police.
A teenage boy with learning difficulties told police in February last year that he was raped in an alleyway.
The then 15-year-old told officers he had started talking to a man in on the High Street, who had walked with him into Cross Keys and then attacked him.
The victim, from Crawley, said he had tried to fight the man off but had been overpowered and raped beside a row of garages in the road, which links...

Golf course with a difference to open in Crawley
A NEW sporting craze that combines football and golf is coming to a golf course in Crawley.
Footgolf involves competitors booting a football around a golf course with the aim of sinking it in an oversized hole in as few kicks as possible.
The sport is understood to be coming to Tilgate Forest Golf Centre, in Tilgate Park, next month.
Footgolfers can already play the game over 18 holes at Burstow Golf Club, in Antlands Lane, Shipley Bridge.

Crawley's St George's Day parade scrapped after campaign to raise...
THE town's St George's Day parade has been cancelled – after an attempt to raise £5,000 to help pay for it led to donations of just £20.
The event, held in Crawley since 2012, usually involves morris dancers and children dressed as dragons and knights marching through the town centre.
But this year the event has been cancelled, due to "family reasons" affecting three members, including organiser Richard Miller, of the six-person committee that runs the event.

A PROMINENT member of Crawley's Ukip branch has come under fire after a post that quoted Adolf Hitler and claimed Muslims were "poor and uneducated" was shared on his Facebook page.

There is currently just one food outlet in the town which has the lowest possible rating of zero, meaning it is deemed by Crawley Borough Council to require "urgent improvement".

Man to face trial accused of attack at Jubilee Oak pub
A MAN will face trial after denying that he attacked another man at The Jubilee Oak pub on Crawley High Street.
Tony Kaikeh, 38, has been accused of assaulting Robert Aram on January 24.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence at Crawley Magistrates' Court on February 11.
Kaikeh, from Riches Street, Wolverhampton, will face trial at Horsham Magistrates' Court on June 8.

Renowned Crawley music shop to open for final time ever tomorrow
A RENOWNED Crawley music shop which has attracted customers from all over the world, including a host of famous musicians, is to hold its final day of trading tomorrow (Saturday).
The last folk instrument will be tuned and sold at Hobgoblin Music, on Northgate Parade, this weekend.
The shop is selling off its remaining stock, including guitars, banjos, accordions, mandolins and ukuleles, with a 50 per cent price reduction.
Hobgoblin Music opened in 1977.
