A MAN has been arrested in London on suspicion of fraud after a couple from Copthorne were scammed out of money.
The couple were called by a man pretending to be a police officer with the Metropolitan Police on Monday (February 16).
He told them someone was trying to withdraw money from their bank account and to take out £2,000 immediately from their bank.
The couple withdrew the money and were told a man would arrive that evening to collect the cash.

Crawley children offered the chance to become wildlife rangers
CHILDREN have the chance to become a wildlife ranger and learn about local wildlife.
The Wildlife Rangers Gatwick Greenspace Youth Group for 12 to 16-year-olds will meet at Tilgate Park on Fridays during school holidays, with the first session taking place this Friday (February 20).
