A SECURITY guard based at County Mall saved the life of a baby girl who was turning blue from choking.
On Monday at about 1pm a distressed man was seen running through County Mall by Boots security guard, Declan Kirk and another security guard from the shopping centre itself, known only as Michael.
The man was carrying a very young girl and the guards followed the man to Saxonbrook Medical Centre in Haslett Avenue West, knowing something wasn't right.

New café set to open in Furnace Green
PLANS to convert an empty shop on Furnace Parade into a café have been put forward.
Yusuf Buyukertas has applied to Crawley Borough Council to change the use of a unit which is currently designated as being for retail use.
He wants to convert the shop which used to be home to Reams Of Special Stuff.

Ifield teenager appears in court accused of possessing imitation...
AN Ifield man has appeared in court charged with possessing an imitation firearm.
Tommy Brown, from Birkdale Drive, appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court on February 10.
The teenager is alleged to have threatened a person using a BB imitation handgun, on January 9, in Barley Close in Southgate.
Brown did not enter any plea and will next appear at Lewes Crown Court on March 9.

Town centre car park to offer all-day parking for 80p
A CAR park close to the town centre is to reopen, having temporarily closed, with an offer of cut-price parking.
The RCP car park on land at Telford Place, in Three Bridges, next to Crawley Library, has been closed yesterday (Wednesday) and today (Thursday).
The site will reopen tomorrow (Friday) and motorists will be able to take advantage of a welcome back offer, when they can park at the site all day for 80p.
