A STAR from a popular TV show has been hanging out in Crawley this afternoon (Sunday). Daniel Wakeford, who stars in the hit Channel 4 dating show The Undateables, spent this afternoon in Maidenbower pub Frogshole Farm with his family.Although he now lives in Brighton it has emerged that the 27-year-old is actually from Crawley, and grew up in Ifield. THE family of a former language teacher at Crawley College who was also a governor at two Tilgate schools have paid tribute to the gifted linguist after she died at the age of 82. Elisabeth Calder, who was chairman of governors at the now closed Robert May First and Middle schools for 11 years, passed away last month. A woman has been fined £220 for damaging the windscreen wiper of a man's car.Jennifer Findlay, from Southgate Drive, Southgate, was given the fine after pleading guilty to the offence at Crawley Magistrates' Court on January 27.The 34-year-old damaged a company car belonging to David Kelly on January 8, on Peverel Road, in Ifield.Findlay was also ordered to pay costs of £40 to the Crown Prosecution Service, as well as a £20 victim surcharge.
