A NEW law which makes it a criminal offence to use controlling or coercive behaviour within relationships has come into effect today (Tuesday).

Fire breaks out at Langley Green hotel
A SMALL fire broke out at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Langley Green this afternoon.
West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service was called just before 1pm and one crew attended from Crawley Fire Station.
The fire was almost out by the time they arrived at the hotel on Langley Drive. The cause is unknown but the fire was accidental. Nobody was hurt.

A MAIDENBOWER man suspected of drug-driving failed to provide a specimen of breath or blood to police for analysis and was subsequently found to have no licence.

A MAIDENBOWER man convicted of failing to provide a specimen of blood to police has asked to clarify that he would never drink-drive - but says he sees no problem with smoking weed and driving.
Lee Erikson, 25, of Beckford Way, admits he was driving after smoking cannabis when police stopped his car in Pound Hill on December 5.
