NEW plans to transform offices next to the level crossing on Brighton Road have been submitted with a proposal to create even more homes.M D Development has sent a prior approval application to Crawley Borough Council for the change of use of 11-13 Brighton Road.The developer wants to transform the office block, close to where the road crosses the railway tracks, into 46 studio flats. Police name woman who died after falling from bridge onto M23
THE woman who died following a fall from a bridge on to the M23 has been formally identified.
Sussex Police this week named the victim as Julie Davis, 48, of The Canter, Worth.
She fell from the bridge where Turners Hill Road passes over the motorway onto the southbound carriageway at 8.35pm on September 3 and was then hit by at least one vehicle.
She died at the scene and an inquest into her death has now been opened and adjourned.

Tyler Bygraves is accused of assaulting Elyse Hazel at her home in Crawley on July 20.
The 20-year-old, of Seaford Road, Broadfield, appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court last Wednesday where he pleaded not guilty to assault by beating.

Broadfield man forced to hand over profits from drug trafficking
A BROADFIELD man who was convicted of drug trafficking has been forced to hand over more than £220,000 he made as a result of criminal activity.
Nazir Ahmed, of Cotton Walk, was convicted of drug trafficking in July 2011.
In August 2012 a confiscation order was issued, demanding that he hand over £110,667 profit which he made from drug trafficking as well as assets worth £80,490.
The 41-year-old was sentenced to 20-months' imprisonment following his failure to pay that order...
