AN earlier collision is still causing heavy traffic from Junction 8 to 9. All lanes have now reopened but traffic is queuing and drivers are advised to allow plenty of time for their journey. On the M25 a collision on the clockwise carriageway is also causing delays with traffic slow moving from Junction 5 to the scene of the crash between Junction 8 and 9. There are delays of around 40 mins.

A DRIVER has been fined £250 for getting behind the wheel while under the influence of drugs. James McDonald, from Stone Cross, in East Sussex, was stopped while driving on the M23 near Gatwick on August 11. The 22-year-old pleaded guilty at Crawley Magistrates' Court on October 22. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and banned from driving for 12 months.
