SUSSEX Police are warning people living in Crawley to be on alert against a payment protection insurance (PPI) scam happening in the town.
A resident received a fraudulent phone call last Thursday (September 25) where he was told he had won a PPI claim.
The caller then told him to go to a newsagent and buy £150 worth of gift vouchers, and then call back and given the voucher reference numbers.
