FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a "full emergency" at Gatwick Airport this afternoon (Saturday).
A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said that the flight crew of a plane coming in to land had reported hydraulic problems.
One fire engine was sent to Gatwick from Crawley Fire Station at around 3.30pm.
Despite reporting problems, the plane came in to land safely and firefighters were stood down around five minutes after arriving at the airport.
