A POLICE helicopter was dispatched last night (Thursday) after the driver of a Nissan Micra failed to stop.
Police attempted to pull over the driver on the A264 at 11.50pm.
But he failed to stop and the helicopter was sent to assist officers on the ground with the pursuit of the blue car.
Two minutes later the driver was detained, however, at Howard Road, Bewbush.
Residents had reported seeing the helicopter above Ifield Station and over Bewbush.
