A MAN was rushed to hospital after having part of his ear bitten off, when he was attacked in the town centre.
The incident took place in the High Street at about 3am this morning, outside the Morrisons supermarket.
Paramedics were called to The Boulevard, near Pizza Express, shortly afterwards to reports of an assault.
A spokesman for the South East Coast Ambulance Service confirmed that a man had suffered an injury to his ear.
