A DOG loose on the M23 led to the motorway being closed this afternoon (July 22).
The M23 was closed between Junction Eight for the M25 and Junction Nine for Gatwick just before 3pm.
It remained closed for around 20 minutes while Highways Agency officers chased and caught the animal.
The Highways Agency had tweeted a picture of the hold-up before thanking motorists for their patience as the road was reopened.
