A MAN has been arrested in connection with a knife-point robbery in Southgate yesterday (May 13).
Police were called to Southgate Parade at around 3pm to reports of a robbery at Martin's newsagent.
A man had entered the shop, threatened a shop worker with a knife and demanded they hand over money. A quantity was handed over.
An employee was then attacked and received stab wounds to his hand and bottom as he tried to get the armed robber out the shop.
The robber is believed to have escaped...
