A LITHUANIAN man was found walking along the hard shoulder of the M23 this morning (Thursday) and told police he was walking to London.
The 42-year-old, who spoke very little English, was stopped by police on the hard shoulder of the southbound carriageway at 9am.
He had been walking against traffic with the intention of using the M23 as a short cut on his journey to the capital.
The man had not left a broken down vehicle and it is not known from where he had started his journey.
