FIREFIGHTERS were called yesterday evening (February 8) after someone burnt food in a microwave.
Having seen smoke in their kitchen, a Maidenbower resident made an emergency call at 6.30pm.
Two fire engines were sent from Crawley Fire Station to deal with the apparent kitchen fire at Warner Close.
When firefighters arrived they realised the smoke had been caused by food packaging burnt in a microwave.
The firefighters left the scene after less than five minutes.
