A TEACHER who has witnessed the "crippling" effects of bullying has had his novel exploring the issue nominated for a national award.
Jeff Gardiner, an English and drama teacher at Holy Trinity CofE School, in Gossops Green, is in the running for The People's Book Prize for his book Myopia.
The title is the medical term for short-sightedness and in the children's story a boy is bullied for wearing glasses.
