A missing 92-year-old man who was known to get the train to Crawley has been found safe and well, police have confirmed this morning. Gene Steve Crosby was reported missing from his home in Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath at about 11.35am on Friday. However, a post on the Croydon Metropolitan Police's official Twitter feed on Monday said he had been found. The force have thanked the public for their assistance in finding Mr Crosby. The Hazelwick Flyover has been partially closed this morning and will remain closed during six hours in the daytime until at least Thursday but it may remain shut on Friday.The flyover is closed between Hazelwick Avenue and Gatwick Road from 9.30am to 3.30pm for a maximum of five days, starting today, to allow street lights to be replaced safely.The work is expected to be finished by 3.30pm on Thursday so the flyover should be open on Friday however a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order remains...

A road in Three Bridges had to be closed this afternoon after a car flipped onto its roof just yards from a children's nursery. Emergency services rapidly responded to reports that a car had overturned following a crash on Three Bridges Road, shortly after 1pm. A Vueling Airlines flight has diverted to Gatwick Airport where it has made an 'emergency landing'. The plane was en route from Birmingham to Tenerife when it turned round over Guernsey.
