An ambitious mechanic has taken the plunge by opening his own business - and has vowed to offer apprenticeships to youngsters in the town who don't want to go to university. The development of a new retail park in Manor Royal is almost finished and an opening date has been confirmed for one of the three retailers moving in.Acorn Retail Park, in Betts Way close to County Oak Retail Park, will become home to Aldi, Marks & Spencer Simply Food and Smyths Toys stores and provide hundreds of jobs to people living in Crawley.The M&S will open first, on August 24, with the other two stores set to be open by the end of the year.
