Safety concerns raised about Copthorne road just 3 hours before...
THE man killed after his car hit a tree in Copthorne died just three hours after Worth Parish Council met to discuss concerns about road safety in the village.
Emergency services were called to Copthorne Bank, between Clay Hall Lane and Antlands Lane, at about 10.30pm on Monday.
Officers from Surrey Police, paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and two fire crews from Crawley Fire Station attended the scene as well as a Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance road vehicle.

TRAFFIC: M25 slow moving after serious crash
TRAFFIC remains slow on the M25 following a serious crash this afternoon.
An air Ambulance, three crews of firefighters and police officers attended the scene, on the link road clockwise between the M23 (Junction 8) and Junction 7 of the M25.
It is unclear how many vehicles were involved.
Highways England initially said the road was expected to be clear by about 3.15pm, after one lane was closed on the link road.
However traffic reports suggest congestion still remains now.

FOUR females were taken to hospital, after being involved in a collision between two cars on Balcombe Road, in Maidenbower.
Emergency services were dispatched at 17.26 on Tuesday (January 19) evening after receiving a call of an incident between an Audi A3 and a Mini Cooper.

BREAKING NEWS: Emergency services close off part of town centre
EMERGENCY services have been called to deal with a "medical incident" in the town centre this afternoon (Wednesday).
Two ambulances and at least two police cars as well as a fire engine have been reported at the scene, close to the pedestrian crossing outside the Town Hall.
They were initially called at about 2.40pm but are still at the scene now.
A Sussex Police spokesman said it is "not being treated as a police matter".
