Overturned lorry causing delays between Crawley and Horsham

REPORTS are coming in of a crash on the A264 between Crawley and Horsham which are causing tailbacks. A lorry is understood to have overturned on the roundabout for the Kilnwood Vale development. Long queues are being reported in the area as a result of the incident, with traffic reduced to one lane. Journey times are about 15 minutes longer than normal. The lorry which crashed was heading eastbound towards Crawley. The driver is reported to have escaped without serious injury.

SEVERAL police cars were sent to the shops on Ifield Drive amid reports of a fight, according to locals. The large police presence was spotted at the parade just before 5.30pm. Residents have said they heard rumours that a fight had taken place, although this has not been confirmed as Sussex Police are currently unavailable for comment. The officers left the parade at about 6pm. More details when we get them.

SOUTHERN today reported that a person had been hit by a train at Three Bridges but later said it was a "trespass incident". At 12.42pm today the rail company posted a message on Twitter to say services were at a standstill due to a person being hit by a train. However a later message said ongoing delays were being caused by an earlier "trespass incident" suggesting there were no injuries in the incident. The incident compounded problems caused by engineering works near Purley...
