A MAN has died after suffering a cardiac arrest in a car on the A23 near Cheals roundabout.
Paramedics were called to assist the man just after 12pm on Tuesday (March 17) and battled to save his life for more than an hour and a half at the scene.
He had been travelling with his wife in a Ford Focus that had been stationary in traffic when he suffered the cardiac arrest.

Ifield body in boot: Vehicle Janet Müller died in was a hire...
THE vehicle set alight in Ifield with young woman Janet Müller trapped in the boot was a hire car, it has emerged.
Guildford Crown Court was told this afternoon that the car did not belong to Christopher Jeffrey-Shaw, the man accused of murdering Miss Müller.
Her body was found in the boot of the burning Volkswagen Jetta.
The car was dumped and set alight close to Ifield Golf Club, off a quiet country lane, last Friday afternoon.

Woman arrested after allegedly disrupting flight and indecently...
A WOMAN was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in an aircraft when her plane landed at Gatwick Airport this morning (March 19).
Aircrew on board the British Airways flight from Kingston, Jamaica, asked for the flight to be met by police after the woman allegedly disrupted the flight and indecently exposed herself.
The flight landed at around 8.45am and a 46-year-old woman from south-west London was arrested.
She remained in custody on Thursday afternoon.

Bomb squad called in after "suspicious device" found
THE BOMB SQUAD were called in today (Thursday) after a suspicious device was found.
Police were called at 1.05pm following the discovery by workmen of a "cylindrical metal device".
They had been excavating at Faygate Business Centre in Faygate Lane, Faygate.
The Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was contacted and they dealt with the incident by 4.20pm.

TV star Stephen Mulhern has almost become a permanent fixture in Crawley's panto in recent times.
