Delays on M23 and M25 following accident

DRIVERS are experiencing delays this morning (Wednesday) on the M23 and M25 following an accident. There is queuing traffic on the clockwise M25 at Junction Seven for the M23. An accident involving a car and a coach has closed one lane at Junction Seven onto the M23 southbound, causing delays. And the disruption is causing traffic in both directions on the M25 back to Junction Eight for Reigate. It is not known when the lane will reopen and severe delays are expected.

A MAN will face trial after denying he assaulted another man by beating him in a pub in Three Bridges.Gary Edwards, 52, is accused of assaulting Andrew Turner in The Snooty Fox, on Haslett Avenue East, on January 24. A WOMAN was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a ditch last night (Tuesday). Crawley firefighters were sent to the collision, at Balcombe Road, Horley, at 9.07pm. SEVERAL garages in Furnace Green were broken into last week police have revealed. The break-ins took place on Wednesday and Thursday in Burwash Road. At present it is known that one metallic blue Pinnacle mountain bike was stolen. It isn't known what else, if anything, was taken. FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a primary school this morning after an unusual smell was detected just after 8am.A crew was despatched from Crawley Fire Station to Gossops Green Community Primary School at 8.14am to try to identify an "unknown smell from an unknown source" which it was feared could be smoke.The firefighters made a thorough search but decided it was a false alarm and left the scene at 8.34am.
