POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked and raped in an alleyway in Crawley.
The 34-year-old was walking in the alley between Ifield Road and Furzefield in West Green when she was grabbed from behind by an Asian man.
He tripped her, pinned her down and raped her shortly after 10pm on Monday (July 22).
The attacker then ran off towards Furzefield.
He is described as slim and 5ft 6in to 5ft 8in tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt and white footwear.
