TILGATE Nature Centre had its "best ever" event opening as more than 2,000 people headed down to say g'day to lots of new Australian arrivals.
The popular attraction in the heart of Tilgate Park opened its brand new Australian Zone on Saturday. About 2,300 people attended, visiting the animals and watching them be fed, taking part in didgeridoo and craft workshops and listening to keepers' talks.
