One of the first court cases testing new laws over squatting has resulted in two of the three men arrested having their cases thrown out of court.Brighton Magistrates Court found that Alistair Cannell, 23, of no fixed address, and Tobias Sedgwick, 23, of Gladstone Place, Brighton, had no case to answer.The third man arrested was Dirk Duputell, of Gladstone Place.The men were arrested on September 3rd last year, just two days after new squatting laws were introduced.
