MORE than 20 fire engines have been called to a ferocious blaze in Ashdown Forest.
At least 20 acres of the forest, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty, caught alight after the fire ignited before 4pm today.
Fire engines and 4x4 vehicles from East Grinstead and Crawley attended the scene and are still dousing the area.
