Firefighters rescued a woman on the M23 after she put herself at risk.
Crawley firemen came across the incident at junction nine of the M23 northbound at 2.30pm today.
A West Sussex Fire and Rescue spokesman said the woman, who was in her car, looked like she was preparing to put her own life at risk when firefighters took control of the incident until police arrived.
The incident was left with police, who could not be reached for comment.
