AN 11-year-old girl from Crowborough was taken to hospital after being hit by a car on the way to school, fuelling safety fears over the road.
The Beacon Community College student was knocked down by a 68-year-old man driving a Nissan Almera on Crowborough Hill at around 8.30am last Tuesday.
There is no suggestion he was at fault for the incident and he was not arrested.
