STEPPING into the boots of Calamity Jane, it may be difficult at first to see what West End actress Jodie Prenger could find in common with the gun-toting frontierswoman.
But both women grafted away in jobs they didn't necessarily want, to get by, with the hope of one day earning themselves a better life.
Jane, whose real name was Martha Jane Canary, grafted as a cook, waitress and dance-hall girl in 1860s Wyoming, in the USA, to provide for her family.
