CRAWLEY Waste and Recycling Centre was closed for about 30 minutes this afternoon when a fire broke out.
A smouldering mattress forced the temporary closure of the site on Metcalf Way, County Oak, at about 2.20pm.
Staff at the Crawley Borough Council-run site dealt with the fire and the site reopened at about 2.50pm.
