A NORTHGATE man has appeared in court alleged to have performed a sex act in front of a child in public.Timothy Cawston is charged with engaging in a sexual activity in the presence of a child, namely a 12-year-old girl, in Dorsten Square, Bewbush, on July 11.But the 62-year-old, of Railey Road, Northgate, denied the offence when he appeared at Crawley Magistrates' Court last Wednesday.Cawston was released on unconditional bail and the case was sent for trial at Lewes Crown Court on October 13.
