A SOUTHGATE school that was flooded on Thursday morning after a pipe burst has reopened today (Monday) for its younger pupils.
The autumn term was due to start for children at Hilltop Primary School, on Ditching Hill, last Thursday.
But a burst pipe discovered by staff at 7.30am filled classrooms with two inches of water.
Staff and fire crews worked to clear the water and rescue items from nine affected classrooms.
