A FORMER pub where Sir Bob Geldof and The Boomtown Rats appeared together last year for the first time since 1986, is up for sale as a family home.
The world-famous singer and political activist and his legendary band, famed for smash hits such as I Don't Like Mondays and Rat Trap, played for more than two hours at The Gate, in Ifield, last June.
The band had reformed in January 2013 and the gig was their first appearance together in 28 years.
