DOZENS of Sussex firefighters are currently tackling a huge fire that is ripping through Eastbourne Pier.
More than 40 firefighters are at the scene, as well as police and coastguards.
The blaze was discovered in a wall panel of an arcade at the front of the Victorian pier.
The pier has been evacuated and there are no reports of any injuries.
Hastings Pier was almost entirely destroyed by fire in 2010 and West Pier in Brighton burned down in 2003.
