AN ELDERLY woman was taken to hospital this afternoon (July 23) after falling over at The Martlets in the town centre and banging her head.
Firefighters from Crawley Fire Station were round the corner at the time, at Haslett Avenue West, giving out fire safety advice.
They were alerted by a member of the public that the 85-year-old had tripped over.
Firefighters came to the assistance of the woman and bandaged her head before an ambulance arrived and took her to hospital.
