FIREFIGHTERS have attended and extinguished an arson attack near an underpass in Broadfield.
A crew from Crawley Fire Station was sent to Rathlin Road at 8.35pm on Thursday (July 17).
On arrival the firefighters found a patch of grass near the underpass on fire.
The flames were put out using a hose within 10 minutes.
The incident is being treated by the West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service as a deliberate ignition arson attack.
