FIREFIGHTERS have urged people to make sure they have a working fire alarm following a flat fire in which a dog died.A woman also had to be rescued from a first-floor flat at Coxcomb Walk, Bewbush, by firefighters using a ladder after the property caught fire on Tuesday last week.And paramedics were sent to the blaze and treated a man for smoke inhalation.
