RESIDENTS in Crawley are being urged to be extra vigilant after two victims - both aged 80 - were targeted in a phone scam in which fraudsters pretended to be police officers.
Two separate households in Gossops Green were targeted by the crooks on Friday (June 27).
Both victims received a telephone call from someone claiming to be a police officer.
On one occasion they said they were from Camden and on the other from Charing Cross.
