EMERGENCY roadworks have forced the closure of the A23 in Crawley northbound between the junction with Ifield Avenue and the Tushmore Roundabout.
The overnight repairs were due to finish before the morning rush but they overran.
Long delays are expected in the area as a result and queues have been reported from Rushetts Road and Gossops Drive.
Meanwhile traffic on the M25 is reportedly slow in patches clockwise between J9 and J11.
