THE section of the A23 closed by a "sink hole" will be shut for longer than first thought as work continues to fix leaks which caused part of the road to collapse.
Two major leaks in a sewage pipe under the carriageway led to a "void" appearing in the road on April 6.
Initially the section of the road, which runs close to Astral Towers, was expected to be closed for one week, and then this prediction was extended to a "number of weeks".
