MAJOR improvement work to Ifield Mill Pond will begin next month.Trees have been removed around the pond over the past few weeks to allow building work to begin on Monday, April 28.The 18-month project will see a new dam built in front of the existing dam, which was in need of urgent repairs.Silt will also be removed from the northern and southern ponds, as leaving it to build up there would increase the risk of flooding.
