FIREFIGHTERS were called to the classic case of a cat stuck up a tree.
The missing moggy was spotted about 30ft up a tree in Woodcourt, Broadfield, early on Wednesday evening.
But, due to their common instinct to find their own way down, fire crews only attend the scene if the animal is still stuck two days later.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service's Technical Rescue Unit (TRU) used roped and lines to access the distressed cat at about 6.30pm yesterday (Friday).
