A HYBRID car which uses a combination of petrol and gas caught fire while parked in Broadfield early this morning.
Firefighters from Crawley Fire Station sent 90 minutes putting out the blaze, which had spread to a second car, and making the area safe at about 4am.
The crew put out the fire then cordoned off the area around it in Southbrook, near a row of domestic garages, to allow the remaining gas to ventilate.
