FIREFIGHTERS have battled a blaze in Furnace Green for nearly three hours this morning (February 25).
The fire was started deliberately after an arsonist broke into a store where contractors keep construction machinery and set fire to it near newly built houses on Witney Road.
After an emergency call at 4.40am two fire engines were sent from Crawley and one from Horsham.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and hose reels to control the flames.
They did not get back to Crawley Fire Station...
