A MAN from Crawley had to punch a shark in the face after it attacked him and bit his leg while he was surfing off the coast of New Zealand on Friday.
Darren Mills, who is originally from Crawley, was surfing in Porpoise Bay, Southland, on Friday when he was bitten.
The 28-year-old, who now lives in Queenstown in Australia, told New Zealand's ONE News he received three wounds to his leg in the terrifying incident.
